Ukraine: 23.6 million tons transported by Ukrzaliznytsia in January

As we earlier reported, in the first month of this year, Ukrzaliznytsia carried 23.6 million tons of cargo. In the same period of 2009, 21.2 million tons were transported.

In January, carried were: 7,066,000 tons of coal; 5,799,000 tons of ore; 2,425,000 tons of metals; 1,106,000 tons of grain; 962,000 tons of building materials; 816,000 tons of coke and 812,000 tons of oil and oil products.

In the whole 2009, Ukrzaliznytsia transported a total of 391.5 million tons of cargo including 45.5 million tons of transit freight.
